ct20b

any one know any thing about the illusive ct20b turbo...i have a line on one in good condition...and how possable is it to use on mk3

Bullz_EyE 11-30-2005 07:53 AM

Almost anything is possible with money. I've never heard of this turbo, but then again I'm new to the Supra world.

SupraMan1784 11-30-2005 02:15 PM

ive heard of the turbo being used on a 7m for an mk3, but i never followed up on teh progress of the turbo swap, so i dont really remember the limits it has, but i know you can mate it to a 7m...haha thats all i got

this is all i know...it was used on the alltrac st 205 (the most bad ass of all alltracs) I think and its ceramic coated...capable of pushing 24 psi...not totally shure though

ive also read that the SP61GT will bolt up and may be one of the biggest turbos that will fit on the stock manifold. but as for the ct20 i dunno..

sakara 11-30-2005 10:07 PM

the ct20b is the turbo that came on the 6th gen gt4.. the st205... it will bolt right up like the ct26 and it is a very good and nice turbo :)

Bullz_EyE 12-01-2005 07:28 AM

It dosen't look like a direct bolt-on to me. It may be able to fit the MkIII Exhaust manifold but it looks like your going to need to do some fabrication
for an elbow and/or downpipe.

it would be hard to adapt it to the supra..i just wanted to get some opinions about the turbo...$250 i was thinking about buying it...probly won't, but it would be grate for my st165 alltrac......

SupraMan1784 12-01-2005 01:10 PM

bullz-eye...looks like youre right...they got different housings, but i dunno to me...which i may be wrong...it looks as if the housings are a little different, but that just might be me

sakara 12-01-2005 07:13 PM

skunk... don't forget... the ct20b is a twin entry turbo just like the ct26.... if u are going to use it on ur 165 then u need a completly different set up for ur exhaust manifold and what not. The 165 turbo is a single entry, not twin

SupraMan1784 12-01-2005 08:31 PM

i knew it...my eyes dont deceive me...

skunk 12-02-2005 04:05 AM

yeah i know i think you can adapt the manafold from the st185 the only thing is i think that there is a diffrent water line and oil cooling lines??

sakara 12-02-2005 04:18 AM

all that stuff is fine... i'ts just the exhaust manifold crap, lol

skunk 12-02-2005 04:32 AM

alltrac is my first love...its like an all wheel drive supra with less weight
