There is a way to remove that top part of that shifter. There is directions on a site that i'm sure someone in here has. Its possible and i have done your shifter is shorter but it does make some noise but you get used to it, but just know that when you take it off there is no putting back on. Someone in here send him the link to the site! Thanx.
