I have a 1989 supra turbo, dont have enough money for a cat back exhaust. Was wondering if i went to a autozone, and build a 3" exhaust will it work? and will it give me more power?

Really all an exhaust system is is bent pipe.Yeah there is research you have to do to make an great exhaust like for professional GT cars but in your case for a homemade horsepower gain just make sure they dont kink your pipes.Mandrel bending is the best by far.It will work fine.Take good measurements.Good luck.

you can coustom bend piping straight to the flange on the turbo elbow...thats what i did..but i don't use cats, its like a homemade down pipe to a nice straight through exhaust..that=20hp easy

Default 3inch back

3in back gives u nothin but a growl everyone around u gives u alittle looksee i have a cooleeze downpipe and a full 3in back to a nice magnaflow and she sounds hot and loud when u hit deep boost, but i m putting a monster new turbo with a stompin new header so i will have to make a new downpipe so i can just imagine her new deep growl can t wait i ll let u know how loud she s going to be

thats cool...I was stupid when I did my exaust..i dont know why i went 2.5 inch turbo back ...it seems ok for now but when the power is increased im going to have to rip it out of there and put in 3 inch..but I deffently want to mention, if your going to do a turbo back exhaust setup try and get a new elbow, from supragirl or a place like this

i did same thing as you skunk , I used 2.5 in mandrels and redid the whole exh,,, just to rip it all out and replace it with 3" month later.. i agree, either use the 3" 90 or get the downpipe that doesnt need the 90 ell anymore..

would it be possible to have a downpipe bent at the top for an elbow with a flange welded on or would it make it too difficult to install stuff
