also when you disassembled your motor, if you didnt mark your cam positioning sensor and now your having a hard time hitting 10 degrees you could be 180 out...you will know if you can only get the timing light to go to 5 or 15...it does happen, and make shure your cam timing is on

Cheers Guys
Thanx for your help and advice guys, that is just what I was after. I marked all the hoses and pipes with paint when I disassembled the motor, and then gave everything a good clean "Der" then when I started to put it all back together "oops" of course all my marking were gone, just goes to show the best laid plans can still turn to crap

Hi Mrnickleye,
so when you say ten degrees base, I set my Crank to 10 then line my cams up to the mark and find a tooth ?? I set my crank to 0 and lined my cams up so I would be a tooth out on the belt !! is that what you are saying or am I misunderstanding you Ps Thanxs for the link, thats champion |

I thought you meant the dis/cam sensor timing (with the timing light).
When you set up the belt timing with the cams and crank, all the marks are on '0'. http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/librar.../em/EM_29.html |
