Default charcoal canister hose

Anyone knows where the hose from the bottom of charcoal canister should go? Mine's just dangling free for now.

I think its supposed to dangle freely...it's an exhaust outlet to the outside.

He does not mean exhaust like in engine exhaust. he means like in overflow excess fuel vapors that are stored in the canister, but if the system malfunctions.
Normally fresh air is drawn into the canister thru that bottom port, during the vacuum (ing0 process).
