Short Shifter MOD is Done!
I found some instructions on how to mod our 5 spd. and it seems that it will do just fine. quite a bit shorter and the throw much less. no more changing the radio station when shifting! it only took two hours and that was taking my sweet time. its vary simple, only 6 bolts to remove, all you need is a screw driver. the web site is www.SUPRAS.com and click on the SOGI link then on shifter mod. the only thing youll need is a new shift knob, one with set screws.

well i was going to but I really didnt see any seals, all the ones on it were fine, just inspect the white bushing on the end of the shaft make sure there is on slop. I cleaned out the internal part of the tranny and reapplied some all purpose grease. The shift cover boot is know much longer than needed so cut the ever top of the boot and then fold inside its self. finished look is very nice.

If you really want some icing on the cake, replace the tranny fluid with synthetic. Night and day difference. Took out the notchiness and roughness out of mine.
