87 supra engine???
I just took my supra in cuz the headgaskets blew(of coarse). Its only been mine for a year and while the previous owner wasnt hard on it he was an old guy and didnt know how to take care of a sport car so a lotta parts semi need replacing and it would be a lot cheaper just to get a new engine. So im trying to order one but I FORGOT MY ENGINE MODEL!!!! and im not really having much luck looking at specs online. I have an 87' turbo/intercooled supra and if anyone knows what engine/engines come stock with it then please tell me(or any better engines to upgrade for under $3000)

Finding motors
Hey its not that hard to find motors. When I was looking it was easy for me.The only thing about ordering a motor you really dont know what your gonna get.You could end up with a motor in worse shape than the one you have now.Another thing if you want to add mods you should do it while the motor is out of the car.And while you have the motor out you do it or have someone else check the motor thoroughly to save yourself headache down the road.

Just curious because they really look good in the wheel openings. Any rubbing at all? I have KYB shocks and lowering springs and it rides fairly firm with the stock rims and 50 series tires. The only rub I get is when I turn very sharp and pulling over a bump backing out, so really not a problem.
Thanks Russ |
