Can I put 275 wheels on stock N/A auto. engine?
 

Hi.

I stopped today a used set of wheels, 18x9.5 and 18x8.5... Dunno the brand, forgot them, but they're japanese (noticed that). They'll polish them and paint them for me if I want, no extra cost...

But my car is automatic, and with stock engine and it's not even the turbo one, it's N/A. Would this damage any kind of discs or something? I was planning on using 275-35-18 in the back.

Could I just buy the rims and use 255 in the back for the moment then? Would this be any better?

Please, I need advise on this, I don't know much about this kind of things :)

Don't do that, you'll blow the welds on the intake manifold.

I'll blow the welds in the intake manifold??? This makes no sense to me! Then again, I don't know much about this....

But still, the intake manifold? What does it have to do with that?? Aren't stock tyres 225-55-16? Using a 275-35 would blow the welding in the intake manifold?

He is messing with you, its from FNF. The offset on those needs to be around +37, front and back. 275/35 for the rear, 245/40 in the front. It won't hurt anything on your car. It'll make it look better and handle better. You should lower it an inch or two to get rid of the gap... Good luck.
