i have 2 12"subs on folded down backs seats facing forward, amp screwed on back of box. two 6x9s with boxes right next to subs(spliced wire and made it long enough to go from origanal box to back seats) and two 3 1/2 in doors(previous owner). pioneer premier hu

also anything aftermarket will sound better

I'd also say dont bother with 6x9s. Splits and a sub will sound a heap better, and easier to find places for and mount. The sub in a box which for me fits to the side of the spare wheel mold in the rear nicely facing the back of the car. Once you have a sub, there is no need for the 6x9s design, you dont need there horribly weak bass or battered high frequencies, splits will give you better sound quality.

ya i agree with jebus, 6x9s are excessive, and dont do what i did (unless thats what you want) cause trust me, the subs take up either the hatch or the back seats, get maybe something small, you can store off to the side and some aftermarket speakers.

Dejvid1785,

Not sure what your plans are for the Supra Weight Loss Program, but if you ever decide to get rid of your spare tire and jack (54lbs.) then you can do what I did and make a fibeglass (or carbon fiber) subwoofer enclosure in the now empty spare tire well.

Just a thought...

Cheers,

Default Hrm...

Spare tire might be heavy, but is taking it out really a good idea? Hope you don't blow a tyre at 2am in the middle of nowhere =)

well lets just hope that the man that is rich enough the pull out the spare tire and fill the hole with a sub and fiber glass is rich enough to not have to always drive his supra around
