I dont think im really having a problem with the alarm. The only reason i mentioned it is because i had heard that they could cause battery drain, and if that may be a problem, Id rather just disconnect it. Also my cam position sensor doesent have a cover on it. I dont think there is any problems, but obviously i want to get a cover on it. Would you recomment just getting the cover or getting a new one?

the alarm is very easy to disable. and ill have to agree sounds like either your alternator is bad, or you have a small short somewhere which can cause both things you described to happen. ive heard the back of the fuse block corrodes, and other things like that. I disabled my factory alarm in about 25 mins once i learned how. Just have to be very agile to reach it good. All you really have to d ois unpulg it thou, not take the computer out. and then you have to re attach the starter ground cable to the body, which will need a wire extension. goodluck with the car tho!
