Thumbs up

First off congrats on the shop, a huge step for anyone to venture out like that, and with a crowd like that is here you should be rolling in dough in no time.

If your gonna fab in non fiber... say some kind of clear composite... i know alot of people who would gladly trade their mothers for a set of clear front clearance lights. Everyone has turn signals for sale but not those little clearance lights.

Can you do interior colors? Its very difficult to get any interior pieces in anything but black, you'd make a killing on OEM color interior parts.

Carbon fiber center console?

Again congratulations on the shop.

Hey all!,

Suprra_girl - Sorry 'bout the confusion. I did notice you were from New Zealand,
just didn't click in the 'ol noggin. My bad!

Burn N' Up - Appreciate the kudos mon! I hope everyone will have an interest in
at least one type of thing I make. As for your Q's;

I CAN work with clear thermosetting plastics, but as the cost in making a mold
and investing in the few different pieces of equipment such as a oven and
heat-resistant materials outweighs normal temperature composites,
I would need a group buy interest list of about 15 people. Sorry to sound like a
defeatist!

I can definitely do interior colors! Fiberglass is the easy one to do, while
carbon fiber and kevlar come in different material colors. If anyone did happen
to want a carbon fiber or kevlar part a completely solid color I could do that
as well, though I personally think that defeats the visual impact of it.

Yes! This one will be a difficult one to do as there are many different
attatchments on the back to fabricate in, but it would be fun to design. I
believe there's a person named "tte" in the misc. vendors section on
www.supramania.com that is making them at the moment, so I would go to
him first. I will talk to him soon and ask if he would mind me making them up
here in Canada as he lives in California.

Thanks for the questions guys! Not much to report on the shop atm,
though I did manage to epoxy coat the tables in the Clean Room.
$150 later...

Have a good one guys,

Burn N' Up got me thinking about the clear plastic thing, and I just thought

of something I would REALLY like to make for the MKIII that's bothered me for

awhile...

A headlight conversion kit.

There's something about those flip-up lights that bugs me. I can just hear all

you guys out there gasping, but I think a set of perma lights would look great!

Like this 300ZX...

Anyways, how many on here would be interested in this? Please post or PM!

Cheers,

i love my pop up lights, but at the same time, i could part with them to maybe see them converted to the 300 style. but i would have to see what it looks like on a supra before i make a drastic change.
