Ok so im looking for the part that checks the air temp in the inlet is it attached to the airflow meter or does the mk3 not have one, i noted the unit that attaches to the air flow has 5 wires so is the air temp 2 of these??, i could go into why i need this info, but hey too long.............. any electric diagrams out there i can get free or do i have to get one of those manuals i keep seeing on ebay, any help on this matter would be well helpful......... cheers
p.s. i have a 1991 mk3 in red only mods ive done are hks induction kit, hks dump valve, and bidding on ebay for a strut brace, heading also for hks downpipe, n exhaust......... |

would be easier if you said the motor that you were running. theres 5 basic different engine setups for the mk3, and all of them have a different intake setup.
assuming your talking about the 7m-gte, then yes, the air temp sensor is part of the afm. in saying that, it's not just housed in there, it's an integral part of it, so i don't think that you can simply splice some wires to tap into the temp feed. just do what i did, go to your local electronics store, and get a indoor/outdoor temp sensor, and run the outdoor temp sensor to just in front of the filter. works perfectly. |
