need help!! no boost..
 

hey my best friend just gave me his MKIII but i have no boost.. i know he got a rebuild turbine and had it checked out by turbo city and it works fine. i think its a vacuum problem but not %100 sure.. at first i though it was the acuator but i remembered the tested that too. i checked all the vacuum lines there all in tight and there not crossed or anything. so please if you have any idea or advice please help me!! thanks

when you (attempt to) boost do you hear a loud air gushing sound coming from the engine bay?

how does it idle

have you checked your diagnostic codes?

the only thing i hear is kinda like a very faint whistle but its so faint u can barley hear it.. the boost registers that its boosting just above +0 PSI i am guessing .3 pounds.. it idles fine it sounds fine just no boost and i have not checked the codes yet.. i just got the car 2 days ago from a friend who moved back to japan..
