blocked off EGR
Ive seen some block off plates for our Supras EGR valve. i thought it was needed? can someone tell me the advantiges of this. but it does make sence because why would you want exhaust gas back in your engine?!

I simply did a search on this forum and came up with this thread. Hope it helps. Also try searching for just egr removal, etc. There may be more threads.

I was about to do it, I even ordered the block off plates, but cancelled my order after someone reminded me I live in CA (although I do have hook-ups), I want my car to be legitimately street legal. You won't need a block-off plate for the back of the head, as these two plates are all that's needed to effectively delete your EGR.

here is egr explained

I read somewhere that while the egr helps emissions, it also lowers the temp of the last two cylinders (because they get shafted by the cooling system in a straight-6), and the egr valve closes at WOT anyways. (i just read this somewhere, so i can't guarantee accuracy)
