Long time ago I had a Buick-powered Ford. Replaced a leaking water pump with a rebuilt one, and it didn't pump water, period. I just couldn't believe it at first, but even with the t'stat OUT it wouldn't pump water.

Pulled the pump and found that some goon had replaced the impeller with a new one. Problem was the hole for the shaft was a bit oversize--just tight enough to hold it on when inverted.

Just my luck to get THAT one from the auto store----.

Last Night my car got a little on the hot side going down the highway. not really over but a little highre than normal ,which is like half way up. I pulled up to my friends and i let it cool down. I was going to check the radiator....and it was cold. so I opened it....water explosion. It wasnt even hot. like there was steam trapped in there somewhere with nowhere to go. The water that ended up on my face luckily wasnt hot, but it was steaming afterward. So i put some water in it and drove home, felt like it had a dead cylinder or 2. No power. I got up to about 35 top speed. Does anyone know what happened? im kinda thinking there is water in the cylinder. And the temp gauge was normal but it was steaming from the cylinder head under the TB when i got home home. ahhh help me please!
