i've searched all 23 pages of archives in this forum related to MK3 supras.
I own a N/A (i know!) MK3 Supra '88. The car runs, and idles fine....but i have always been bothered by the lay out of the vacuum lines....they made no sense to me.... well..i was chekcing with th cyrus website and i'm ovbiously missing the EGR (WTF?) there is just a hole there, where the egr goes....how bad is this? another thing is the vacuum lines....how do they go?...from the website i only could make out half the route.... i will be replacing the vacuum lines with new ones for ovbious reasons... anyone can provide me with info on how exactly these vacumm lines go? Thank you in advance. |
Library
One day while I was at band camp....no no no...that's another movie....
Ok then....I went to the local library and looked up my '89 in a repair manual. I think it was a 'MOTOR' brand. It had all the vacuum diagrams for each year. I did not photo copy it because mine is still on a sticker on the hood. Library in your area may have it. It was easier to follow than the TSRM version. That would be a good thing to get and scan into a link for everybody. !!! |
I got just what you need!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...acuumlines.gif I just replaced all my vacuum lines the other day. I bought a nice blue silicon hose kit. Looks beautiful under the hood. Spiced things up a bit. These vacuum lines are a pain in the ass to do. Some are really easy, and others you cant see where they end or start, so you just have to blind feel and replace. I noticed a difference in my idle as well. Seems a lot smoother. I will take a pic sometime soon to show. |
sorry for the massive pic........its funny how the RESIZE option on the forum for the pics doesnt even work............haha...
