Default Anyone tried the NA OBX headers?

Saw a set for sale and was wondering if anyone has these or has tried these. Any comments welcome. Also, anyone know approximately what gains are acheived with headers?

a while ago i raised this question about these headers. from ebay right? i am going to get them, just my budget at the moment is tight. as i can remember, we compared them to the pacesetter ones for the NA supra. I personally like the OBX headers. they look really clean, the welds look really good and it looks like an overall good product.

Dang, I was hoping you would have gotten them by now. Their build quality seems really nice, they are what I would go with if I had an NA, Most definitely. http://www.toyota-supra.info/forums/...hlight=headers

I got a reply from one of the sellers. The outlet is 2.5". Soo... Would it be a waste if you had 3" behind that? Curious...

Pacesetter is a 2" outlet. OBX seems to be the better alternative.

Stick with 2 1/2 or 2 3/4 at the most if your planning to use nitrous. I just did a calculation based on engine size and the ideal piping size is slightly under 2.5. 183.07 is the 7M in cubic inches.

(RPM x Motor Size)/554,177 = Recommended diameter.

(7,000 x 183.07)/554,177 = 2.31"

With those #'s 2.25" is darn close. Have you seen headers with a 2.5" exit?

Yes, and I've seen 3" collectors too. I recommend you stick with 2.5" piping.

haha no, not yet. soon though, very soon. I decided to do a whole bunch of little things first. replaced all my vacuum hoses with the hose technique kit. made a custom intake, so now i dont have that ugly N/A intake piping. and I got my dvd player for the car that i have been saving for haha......

but the headers are my next thing. I am definetly getting the OBX headers. probably within the next month. Cant wait to get them!
