Default power windows

I recently purchased an '89 supra. The car was really well kept, but it does have a few small problems. one of them is that the passenger window does not go down. The guy who owned it before me had the $250 window motor replaced and that didn't fix the problem. I've read that if the driver side window switch is bad for some reason the passenger side won't work either, can anyone confirm this?

Thanks.

well try the link i gave you on one switch, see if it works, the problem could be that the switches never get used nearly as much as the drivers window switch, rain or moisture corrodes the switch... just a thought, the same thing you described was wrong with my car, it fixed it, let us know..

well it was the driver side switch contacts that was messing up. unfortunately the driver side switch isn't nearly as easy to take apart as the passenger side, so i couldn't clean the "anvils" on it. But I can confirm that if the driver side contacts are bad then the passenger side switch won't work either. For now both windows are working though
