I would like to get my boyfriend a remote starter for his birthday. He has an '89 supra with a Japanese engine switch.... with all of the security on the car, will one work, and if so which one? I really appreciate the help!! Thanks

hey
for some reason i honestly thought i had replied to this already lol well anyway... the best bet would be to find the brand name of the alarm your bf has and find an installer that does that system.. he will be able to recommend the best one that will work with your existing alarm also... what is a japanese engine switch lol... my car is a japanese spec one and i've never heard of any switch hehe good luck with the remote starter

I'm not positive about this, but I thought you could only get remote start for an automatic, so other than that, I would imagine remote start would work, but really you should talk to an expert. Sorry for not being very helpful
