will it fit?
no problem. I have not done it, but it's very common, and seen it many, many times. You'll just need the front turn signals and two-piece grill to compliment it.

Just as sportriderseattle said, yes many have done this before.
I was even going to do the full pre '89 to '89+ conversion myself. In addition to the parts mentioned as being different (grills & indicatiors), you will also need fog lights and an '89+ lip... Btw, I changed the title so that we can help others in your situation, if they should do a search. |

Hey...
What do you mean by LIP ?
I was told by someone that the front NOSE (the piece above the bumper) also needed to be changed, because it has different mountings for the different turn signals and grills. I didn't care and thought I could adapt it if needed. Was I right to do this? I purchased a 91 bumper recently, gonna install it with some clear turn signals and see how it looks.

Does anybody know where to get the 89+ grille inserts? And how are the fog ligths different? I thought the only thing needed to do the upgrade was the bumper and grille inserts? I have a white supra and Im not sure how it would look with clear turn signals.. any ideas?

Also, not noticeable when mounted, but the ’89+ is won’t rust out like the pre ’89 fogs because the housings are made of different materials. The '89+ indicators are also shorter than the pre '89 type. Look closely at cars of different years and you will notice it.

Yep.
Turn signals are shorter, yeah. I bought the diamond cut ones that procarparts.com offers.
