Urgently need advice: SHOCKS!

Hey people.

I got my Eibach Pro Kit springs, but now I've been told that I need to have my shocks in good conditions before installing the springs, otherwise it will deteriorate the springs... ?

Anyways, I've been spending a lot of money and I don't want to spend too much on this. My car is still N/A anyways, and even if I go turbo sometime in the future, I wont be heading for the 400whp or anything.

There are several shocks at 935motorsports.com.. The cheapest ones I've seen are the Tokico HP, and the KYB GR-2.

Does anyone know anything about these? My car does NOT have TEMS.

Tokico Blue's and KYB GR-2's are excellent replacements for the factory shocks, although I would go with Tokico Illumina's, or KYB AGX at the very least. Your springs won't wear out regardless of what shocks you use, haha...at least for a very very long while.

Just browsed over to 935, based on personal experience, reviews, and their selection I would rate them like this:

1) Koni
2) Tokico Illumina
3) Blisten
4) KYB AGX
5) Toyota TEMS
6) KYB Gas-a-Just
7) KYB GR-2
8) Tokico HP (Blue)

I don't know where I'd fit the TRD ones in this list, but my guess would probably be above or below the Illumina's.

Those last two you mentioned, for what I've read, are NOT worst than stock Toyota shocks. Well, maybe the TEMS is better, but as I don't have TEMS, that wouldn't be a bad option, wouldn't it?

The problem with KYB AGX, is they only offer the front pair.

Funny that you list the GR-2 above the Tokico, being cheaper and all.

Will these shocks work right with my Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs?

I placed the stock TEMS shocks over the other ones because they ARE adjustable. That's a good thing you noticed my list, as price does not necessarly dictate quality. Any of those shock will work well with your application, just some are better choices than others. I'd pick the GR-2's over the HP's because I've read negative things about them, but I've also heard many positive things too. I just haven't heard anything real negative about the GR-2's. Most things negative about the HP's are from owners blowing them, but their cars have been dropped more than 2".
