newbsupra, You going to have to do a lot more work than that to make 300hp from the na motor. And its called a header on an N/A, not a downpipe. And yes get a header, good mod to do on any car. I would suggest getting the block decked for more compression, Thinner head gasket, Try to find some better cams, And def a new intake manifold and new/modified throttle body. Its hard to find n/a parts because so many people mod the turbos up. And for the original post, Despite what it looks like, Doing the turbo swap can be a LOT of money. More so than just looking for a turbo car, driving many miles to get it, and drivin back. Aside from just the parts, you have to account for a lot of other things. Will your new motor/turbo/trans/any other part need a rebuild or replacement? will you have all the right nuts&bolts(thing a lot of people dont realize is hard to find at times), The ecu, The wiring harness, All the sensors working/included, All the piping, the intercooler, the oil lines, Youll need a whole new exhaust put on, And a lot of other stuff that you just find along the way. So trust the expert (menickleeye) lol. The only way id say do the swap is if you have the car and/or motor and parts already

how would one know if its a r154
what about the ecu, |
my bad about saying downpipe. yes i dont expect to get that kind of power with just those mods, i was just listing some of what i have planned. i just think it would be funnier beating these moded cars with a n/a supra. ill eventually get a turbo, but dont have the money for now. there's a neon around here i want to beat, it will take awhile. he's running a stage 4 turbo on a SRT4 engine.. putting out 410 fwhp and 405lb-ft.. runs a 11.9 in the 1/4 with stock tires. and with all this done, before bolting on a turbo, the gain will be big.

Your gona need a lot more work than youd think haha...look up defiant_7m on supra forums. Hes got a 101mm stroke and 14:1 compression. No power numbers yet thou lol. Making power is all about compression. Either by using a turbo to stuff air in or by putting in huge pistons...compression is what makes the power :)
