1jz extended wiring harness
Hi all...new guy here
I'm contemplating the 1jz swap in my 86.5 supra. I saw a company in the past that offered an extended 1jz wiring harness to use in a LHD US car, but now for the life of me I cannot find the webpage anymore. I see that bicperformance offers the motor mounts I need (for some reason I thought these were the guys selling the extended wiring harnesses, but I guess not.) I have $4500 to spend on a clip and to get started piecing odds and ends together. Hopefully that will get me a good start. I'm also thinking about the 1.5jz setup. A 3.0 2jz shortblock runs around $2300 new from toyota. Has anybody around here done this? I'm looking to find out if the stock fuel/intake system and engine management would run decently with the extra 500cc's of motor until I could afford some updates. Thanks all, I'm looking forward to transforming my supra from a turd into something a little more fun. -bud |
