Alright guys I've jus got home from checking the car out and I think I'm going to get it. It has some rust (common on a 19 year old car)on the front and rear fenders. I do know somebody who knows an auto body shop so hopefully I can get it done for cheap. The engine is fine...but its the tranny im worried about. It has 250-275 on it and I'm thinking of replacing it. I jus have another stupid question. Does anyone know how much they regulary go for? thnx again guys. This is helping me out alot.

rebuild tranny
Here it costs about $1500 for an automatic to get rebuilt. About $1000 for 5 speed.

Check out the 'parts for sale' section on this forum to see if someone has them. Call the largest auto dismantler in your area. They are all tied in by computer now, so if they don't have it there, they can find it.
