will parking brake light kill cruise?
 

well recently my cruise stoped working and i also noticed that my E-brake light is now always on, is this a safty thing to were cruise wont work if on, because that would make sence, or do i just have two problems? Ive tried messing around with the button switch but it seems to have died, does anyone know if i can just cut the one wire coming out of the button switch so the light will never come on? and my cruise will work again?

when the ebrake is cut, broken, or whatever and no longer works the light will always be on. i dont know if this is the only cause for it

well... if i were you... i will go to salvage yard to get myself another cruise buttom and replace it.. and see that will solve the proble.... before i cut the wired....

the cruise will not work when the brake warning light is on.

That light can be on by eitjer the parking brake switch, or low fluid in the master cylinder (or bad sensor there).

Check your brake fluid level first. The parking brake switch is a ground type, and seldom goes bad.

nice diagram picture... you found.. but i cant read diagram... so i have no idea... but hope that diagram will help you little bit... let us know how you got the problem fix alright.
