New supra owner, few Qs

Hi, im a new supra owner, just signed up, lookin for some good info and seem to have found a good place for it. First things first, just bought an '89 turbo A/T for $1000(first turbo car btw), dig it very much and a shear joy to drive. Small question, what are some known issues/problems with these years and submodels if any. I did a search but seems it was to broad. If there is a good thread with with some info id much appreciate if i could be pointed in its direction, weather it be about problems or not :). Other then that, just saying hi to a community i would like to become involved in.

Thanks in advance, and i had posted a thread just before this similiar to this but doesnt seemed to have gone through for me, so if this is a double post sorry.

Great cars

Well howdy......
You can start by looking over some of the threads in the FAQs section.
Then, as you read threads in the general section, and this one, you will learn about some of the problems with these cars.

Once you get things sorted out, and repaired along the way, they are a good car to own, and exceptionally fun to drive.

Mine is running great, and I love to drive it everywhere !!!

Main problem is the head gasket (HG). You will get a blown head gasket (BHG) if you own a supra. I've only talked to one person that hasnt gotten one. And he's owned a few supras. And yes they are very fun to drive, not to mention all the looks you'll be getting. My supra isnt in the best of conditions yet i always see people staring. And my exhaust isnt loud either so its not from that. So welcome to the wonderful world of supras get comfortable learn. Be sure to join other forums as well.

Later.
