engine problems
i have a 88 turbo i had a blown headgasket and replaced it with a 2mm metal one ive put it all back together new timing belt and all and when i start it up it idles all weird it jumps and i went to take it for a drive and it only went like 20 mph also when i rev it when it gets around 3500 rpms the engine shuts down untill rpms go down. i think maybe it is getting too much air or something. mabe i missed something when putting it back together. i dont know any suggestions?
Ok i fixed the timing it was set at 5 so i put it on 0 and now my car wont even start? Last edited by thewhitedevil69; 03-12-2006 at 10:15 PM. |

O2 sensors fixed the 'engine shaking' and 'bad idle' problems for me. Maybe check those out aswell? Bad fuel/air ratio is never good.
