help?!?

ok my battery died, so i replaced it... i put the new one in and the ALT fuse blew out, where can i get another one?? but now the car wont even start?? any answers why?? the car was running perfect, just accidently left headlights on.. help!!!??!?!! and its a brand new battery and the radio doesnt turn on, only the battery symbol on the dash..

start with fuses then check if a ground is loose. check your main ground wire from the battery, if that one is good then check the grounds from the starter and block to frame.
