Northern Illinois help?
 

Hey guys I'm looking for someone who has done a engine swap on teh 90' supra and who lives somewhere near the northern illinois area. I'm currently in Rockford and will be doing a swap 7mge > 7mgte.

My mechanic wants to charge $800 for the labor. Is this a good price? Otherwise I would like to have the help from someone who knows what they're doing.

Actually thats a really good price. Its usually ~1250 to swap it in.

check for threads on the swap. There's more to it than just swapping the engine. Like wire harness, ECU, MAF/AFM, some exhaust changes, etc. etc. etc.

Yea i know about all the other parts. I have the list(s). I dont think my mechanic has ever done a 7MGTE swap before. Maybe a same engine swap, but i dont think a different engine. Plus if i could have someone whos done it before then that would be great. I would like to partake in the event as well if possible :D

well, i dont know if ill find anyone in n. illinois, but if theres anyone who has AIM and did a turbo engine swap then please PM ME! I am completely overwhelmed by all this and need help in every aspect of it. Thanks guys!
