when you stroke an engine, you increase the displacement. im not sure how much the strokers for the 7m increase displacement but i know hks has one for the 2jz that ups it from 3.0L to 3.4L which is a significant increase

i would rather go with that ^ than spending $2500-3000 on a stroker kit

or if you have alot of money, do both :D then it will be hard to catch you. money always limits everything.. and time.

jepz, why would you ask if he is for real, thats a valid question. Maybe he doesnt know what exists. As for stroking the motor, For an n/a, that would be a good upgrade, but not so muhc for boost. The increased displacement makes the turbo overspeed(it also spools faster), It would also move the powerband down because the valve timing is setup to flow a certain ammount of air for 3 liters, not 3.6. And at lower rpms your not making as much advantage of the available boost, And because the cam is going to be timed wrong now, wont make much up high either. It would add HP, just because your getting more air in, But not as much as if it was all set up right for the increased CCs. It would also make the crank weaker and easier to break. and you have to get the ecu reprogrammed on either motor anyway. But on an n/a you want the extra CCs to make up for the lack of boost lol.

well hks must have known something we don't for they destroked the 7m to a 2.8 and twin turbocharged it
8sec 1/4's

Yes, You want a shorter stroke/bigger bore motor for boost/highrpm power. Long stroke for low end/midrange. If you bored/stroked an NA 7m motor to the 3600ccs as listed on that site, If you got the right cams and head flow characteristics, It would be good for some awesome power.
