guys im lookin for a metal head gasket...... i need to know the best thickness becouse im goin .20 over pistons forged internals.. thanks

And you are going to have your head and block milled, right?
You will need to have a smooth surface to use a MHG as you probably know.

Once you know how much you will need to remove from the block and head combined, then you can calculate what thickness you should go with for the head gasket.

If you can give me the exact amount that will be removed, I can calculate for you what your new compression ratio will be, and what thickness you will want to get for a gasket.


As far as the price of a MHG:
Isn't $130 about right for a Cometic gasket?
I thought that is what they go for....
