The low speed is the resistor pack someone mentioned earlier, check the valve that DDMCSE talked, the VSV on it is known to go out, constantly! You can check to see if this is the problem by manually opening it with the heater in the car set to hi and with the highest temp. Open the valve manually, if heat comes out, you found your problem.

I've found the the valve on the firewall. I took it apart and freed up the tap. Not totally free but heater works a bit now. I've had my car 7 years and the heater only has worked for two days of that(about two years ago it just started working for a couple of days). So it works some now. Good enough for me. I'm in Australia so the heater aint that essential anyway..

If it hasn't been working take th hosese off both ends of your heater core, hook a hose up and blow in it with your lungs, it'll clear the rusted junk out of the core. Thats what happens when the heater just sits like that.

*sigh* I replaced the heater resistor pack the other day, and the fan *still* doesnt work. Checked the fuses, all was well, nothing blown, and if the switch is set to 'off' then no aircon or heating comes on at all. If set to any of the other positions, then i get heat/cold air, but only if the car is doing 40/50+ mph
Could this be a relay fault, or has the actual blower motor borked on me?
