Intake
i have a non turb 75,000 auto tranny 7m-ge supra, and im thinking about putting a new intake. im thinking about using he stocked piping, and taking out the VAC do you think the VAC would be a problem? well any ideas what kind of filter to get? K&N?

Depending on your diameter intake i'd try and get an AEM dryflow. Superior to K&N in every way. what do you mean by VAC, that might be a N/A thing i'm not familiar with...

I believe he's talking about this...(yep, N/A thing)
Its acoustic control induction system (ACIS) delivers low-to-high torque on demand. And its power comes from a gated intake manifold, which stays closed at low rpm and opens wide at high rpm for a grin-inducing boost without excessive fuel consumption. I recommend leaving it because it works really well to get more torque from the N/A motor. I can 'feel' mine when it kicks in. It feels like a burst of power. |

I don't notice any kick when my ACIS kicks in. It does work though I checked it out. Curious what it does on the inside I opened up my spare intake to see what goes on there. It is a flapper valve that seperates the incoming air so the left pipe goes to the left 3 and the right goes to the right 3 when it engages.
