91 supra/bad motor

Hey guys, new to your forum but always have been interested in the supra's. i have a question: I found a 1991 supra in town for $700/offer but it has a catch: a bad motor. From doing some research i find you guys saying the head gaskets were a big problem. (I havent talked to the owner or anything, they weren't there). I was thinking, if you guys thought it was worth it, i might look into getting it and if i have to i found engines on ebay for $500-1000. I would like to go turbo with it but im confused: it seems there are no aftermarket kits for it? I see most people were just talking about changing the whole motor for the factory turbo one, but i thought there might be an easier way?

The car looks great on the outside. Its Red, N/A, 5-speed, the interior was a little more worn but not bad for a 15 year old car. Sorry if i repeated questions but, what do you guys think? Im just not sure if this would be an alright project? Any help is welcome, I appreciate it!
