What is better:
Blue or red? Coke or Pepsi? A Harley or a Jap superbike? See where I am getting at? It is something you need to decide for yourself. Ask a specific question to get a specific answer. Is there something specific you want to know? Or are you taking a survey of what other people like? EDIT: to add below Anyways, I found some threads in which people discussed this already that may interest you. http://toyota-supra.info/forums/showthread.php?t=2412 & http://toyota-supra.info/forums/showthread.php?t=3912 & http://toyota-supra.info/forums/showthread.php?t=3628 Last edited by TONY!; 05-11-2006 at 01:40 AM. |

What is so hard about giving the guy an opinion at least. No reason to be a hard ass about the question. Sarcasm causes more problems than either not answering or just giving him the answer to his question! I don't know which is better, but I sure wasn't going to give him some stupid answer like you did TONY!
Help him out by pointing out a search thread but don't lose a fellow Supra owner or potential owner with BS. Russ |

There is a huge difference between what you perceived and what is reality. And now I have to type out a page and a half paper because of your false accusations. You mention sarcasm. Sarcasm is, from http://www.answers.com/sarcasm&r=67 1) A cutting, often ironic remark intended to wound. 2) A form of wit that is marked by the use of sarcastic language and is intended to make its victim the butt of contempt or ridicule. 1) I had no intention of "wounding" anyone, but to make a point on what I will explain in the following paragraph of this post. 2) I don't intend on making anyone a victim. I am not at all being a hardass in anyway. I am just trying to point out that different things are for different people. My examples (Coke/Pepsi, Harley/superbike, red/blue) are not made for sarcasm, but as examples of when only a person's personal tastes are the deciding factor in what is better For me to give him a specific answer, I would need to know what he really needed to know, instead of just typing out all sorts of tech information that he may not be looking for. Maybe you don't appreciate it because you don't have my stance/background in respecting all machines for what they were intended for. There are implications that one was better than the other in the original post of question of: Quote:
So that IS my opinion on all that, and I don't think you understood my motive or reasoning. I did give my opinion, although you stated that I did not. Quote:

I can't be held responsible for your way off perceptions that have little basis. I guess most people don't share my view on cars/motorcycles/machines in general. Better is to be judged as how it fits the role that the user needs it for. Better is not like this car is best, then this one, then this one, then this one; in a system that everyone one of them is ranked as such. On a different scale, imagine if people were judges as such: Who is better, Johnny or Steve? Quote:
I hope I did not ruffle your feathers on my defense of your less than accurate accusations/implications. There are links that are provided already by me to other 7M & 1JZ threads. Not seeing a reason to keep this open anymore. I don't mind having discussions of any kind and do welcome feedback/questions/comments/concerns, but when there is so much false statements without the basis for making them...well that is another story.
