It really would help if you didn't add all the expletives when you are asking for help. It interfers with the train of thought and sounds confusing.

You have to make sure you know where TDC is and then point the rotor at the number one plug on the distributor. Then it is 153624. If you have fuel and spark and make sure the cams are timed right you should be able to get it close.

It might also help if you told us what year and model you have too. One of the recent postings has a link to the online manual for the MK111. Your manual should have the setup too. There is more to getting the timing set than just sticking the distributor in and trying to start it.

Let us know and calm down a bit, take a deep breath and try explaining your next steps without swearing. It might make someone who can really help you think it isn't worth it if that is the attitude you have.

Remember, there are 2 TDC's on any engine. One on the compression stroke and one on the exhaust stroke. The one on the compression stroke is the one you want.

Now I assume you have a non-turbo model since you say you have a distributor. But it really doesnt matter. You can find TDC without the distributor installed.

You must take out the 1st spark plug and turn the crank pulley clockwise. As you near the 0 degree mark with the notch on the crank pulley listen very carefully to the amount of air escaping through the spark plug hole. Now turn the crank 360 degrees and again, listen very carefully to the amount of air escaping through the plug hole. Whichever time the air escaped the greatest is the TDC you are looking for.

Hope this helps.

Edit: It helps to have a helper to do the listening while you turn the crank.

Wouldnt it work if you just watched the cams? And when it pushes down the intake valves right after they close that should be the right TDC correct?
