Will this work?

Since all my money went into dealer only parts to fix my supra (everything from turbo gasket set to door hinges) I am left with no money to buy a real BOV. Besides they are like $200 anyway. So I modified the stock bypass valve as seen in this picture-

Now, I rode around and no CE light , but I think I got a few lean pops from the exhaust (i dont know wasnt really paying attention). And it releases boost for quite some time, its not a quick whoosh but a long one lasting up to 3 seconds depending on the amount of boost it was making.

I know the air is blowing out of that hose I have just hanging there, but is air going back in? The basic principle of a turbo would have me saying no, air is only going out of that hose.

Any thoughts?

Ok looks like im an idiot, the stumble was in between shifts and its because its releasing metered air causeing a rich condition.

Looks like Im doing an AFM to MAF switch.

Any idea where to buy a conversion kit?
