whats the prob?
 

I took my 87 supra out today and it wouldnt go past 4000 rpm. It would get around 4 grand and it the front end woould fall to the road like the rev limiter kicked in but if i have my foot on the cluch she would go up in the rpm's like it was nothing wrong with it but as soon as i let off the cluch and try to drive it, it wouldnt go past 4 grand can any1 tell me what the problem is

Plugged cat?...its the only thing that comes to mind

Mass air flow meter? And a plugged cat would probably be the culprit.

sounds like fuel cut
have a turbo ? do some mods ?
