can anyone help me with the removal and replacement of the rod bearings? detailed please?

i need help getting to my rod bearing one of the bearings are thrown and or turned so i need to replace them any help would be good

You have to pull the engine. There is no way around that. You have to get the crankshaft out and fix that damage, fix the rod that went out and finally rebuild the engine. You can't just do one rod and you have to pull the engine out to repair it. Get a manual, a lot of metric tools and clean place to work on it, or buy a rebuilt short block and put that in.

It is a very involved procedure, as it would be in any car. You should probably get someone that is familiar with this kind of job and have them help.

you will also need a rebuild kit with all gaskets, bearings and seals, And while ure in there just get the one with the piston rings and replace those while ure at it. Some have options, like oil filter/pump kit, timing belt kit, you should get all of those. Cause they are all things that are easy to change while the motor is out of the car. And dont forget, if its bad, You might need a new crank and/or rod, cause of the bearing grinding away at it after it seized.

make sure if you put new rings in the motor that you hone the cylinder walls because if you dont do that it will burn oil relly bad i am in the same position i have my whole motor out to it is not to hard just take your time
