change the bulb. headlights have high and low beam. the low beam is toast on that light.

Hehe - i had that a few weeks back. Bought a new pair of the Xenon Blue ones for about ?8 each. Fitting them was a pain in the ass seeing as the 4 screws holding the glass in place had been slowly rusting away for god knows how long....

I have a similar problem except both of my low beams dont work. I was wondering are there suppose to be two bulbs inside the lamp or just one? And also does this mean I have to replace the whole lamp in order to get the lows to work or can I just replace the bulb? Thanks.

the low beam lightbulb is burnt out. the bright lightbulbs are fine. take your lights apart and figure out which ones need replaced in each light. you do not need to replace the whole light and spend money on stuff that already works correctly. just replace the bulbs.
what do you do anyway...drive around with your brights on all the time?lol |

The H4 bulb used in the headlamps contains two filaments - one for the low beam, one for the main beams. Thats why there are three wires going to it - one common ground, and two positives

I'm sorry, I may have missed it but did you say you've done a (replaceable bulb) H4 conversion? If so then yes you can replace just the bulb, but if not you may still have the OEM style sealed headlights. In that case you will have to replace the entire lens/housing assembly. You can get them anywhere that sells auto headlights. Either style you have, I would recommend replacing them with Silvanya(sp?) Silverstar headlights....much better lighting for only a little more cost.
Also my drivers side high beam dosen't work but my problem was that the high beam positive wire had broke off from the connector. You might want to check your harness wires when you take the headlights out. |

Yea...I pretty much have to drive around with my high beams on all the time because I don't want to get pulled over....but I do want to fix my low beams. So if I still have the stock housing then I will need to change the whole thing? As opposed to just changing the bulb if I had an aftermarket housing? Thanks.

correct. if you havent converted then you have to replace the whole thing. its easy though, just four screws and they come out. and seriously, go for the silverstars, they are sooo much better and theyre not that expensive.
