its basically a fibergalss piece that replaces tha lip on the front and it diverts air to the vents and reduces drag from wind resistance..

no those are jus sum aftermarket lips,, they look good and all but if you get the wrong ones they actually jus add more resistence,, theres only sum manufacturers that actually took this problem and came up with solutions,, like veilside, extreme dimensions, and another one but i cant remember the name wind diffusers look like the one in the pic

Thats great for the track but not really road worthy for normal street driving.
It would come in handy in the winter as a snow plow though I bet.

Sup2nr, I dont know what could be used to make anything like that pic you posted...I would have to look around at Home depot for a while...LOL!

See my whole thing is about making stuff thats cheap, keeps me busy, and can be reasonable well engineered to look decent in the end. A wind diffuser like your talking about would have to be fairly rigid and also stand up to some abuse on the street.

off the top of my head, about the only idea I come up with for making one is out of wallboard, then glassing over it for strength and weather resistance. Ive worked with fiberglass before and its a total pain in the pooper...I itched for like 2 days afterwards, and dont want to do that again anytime soon.

how did this thread get turned into a topic about front lips?

and if you ever finish your wind diffuser supra2nr post some pics cuz i wanna see the result.

weezl...i guess $38.08 is the cheaper way to go than spending 400 on a b&m or bomex lip.

...cause I jacked it...lol

hell yeah its cheaper, might not have the coolness factor of one of those, but sure makes up for it in lack of cost...and if I ever rash it real bad ona driveway or something...I can go buy a new cover for it for about 4 bucks!
