my car only start when cold?
well my car seems like it only starts when the engine is cold. I don't know whats going on. when I warm up the car and turn it off after normal driving it won't start back up. I have to wait until it gets cold before it will start. I recently replaced my spark plugs and wires and the mechanic didn't reset my ecu. My friend advised me to reset it and see if that helps. Is there something else that could causing this problem? Thanks for any advice.

The ECU temp sender might be bad. You may have a lot of carbon built up on the intake valves, which will suck up the fuel and can cause hard starting when engine is hot. Get some 'Techron' injector cleaner (walmart, parts store, etc) and add 2 bottles to a full tank. It will clean everything while you drive.
Does it start right back up if you turn it off??? but not if you let it sit for more than a few minutes??? I suppose you could disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then hook it back up. You will then need to drive it around town for about 30 min so the ECU can re-learn its drive cycle.

Well I never actually tried turning it off and then back on right away. Pretty it will only start up easily in the morning when the engine has sat for a long time. Even today when I was leaving work it wouldn't start up and it sat in the parking lot for about 7-8 hours. I had to let it sit there for a few minutes and a couple of tries to get it started. I also suspect a BHG and I know I have a valve cover gasket leak and am having that fixed on monday. Would this be contributing to the problem? Thanks for the info.

BHG or VC oil leak won't effect "your" starting problem. Check out my prior post again. You may have a fuel pressure problem, or an injector that is leaking down pressure when it sits for a bit.
