Seat belt question

Hey, I need to know if anyone knows of some black seat belts that will work in a mk3 supra. Im doing my whole interior black, And i just realized the seatbelts are gray. Any help appreciated

if i was you , i wouidnt waste my time looking for color

If you find some let me know. I have the same problem. My entire enterior is black/red except for the seat belts. They are still grey. I've thought about a dye of some sort. Like maybe black shoe polish. But I'm still thinking. I'll rip one off a Supra and the junkyard and test a few things out.

Ummm...dont use shoe polish or you will forever be ruining the shoulder portion of what your shirts.

seat belts are made of nylon so therefore wont dye using traditional fabric dye. your best for changing the color of your belts besides getting new ones, will be to paint them using fabric paint. you can find this in the auto parts houses for upholstery. Just stretch the belts out completely paint both sides, let dry and reinstall. Ive used that "paint" before and it doesnt last forever especially on something that gets so much use. but barring finding a black set its your best option.

Lol. I know. Like I said, I'm still thinking. I'm going to pick up a seatbelt today and try a few things.

Im not intereted in painting mine... at all. Lol. I want to replace them. Its going to be permanent. Ill just put the seat belts from my monte carlo in if need be. There black with brushed aluminum buckles, They look dam nice. As long as the hit-the-brakes-locker thing works. Cause they test those at inspection. BTW dc - How hard was it to change the carpet? im doing that soon too. Almost the same thing you are. But with a touch of cow haha...My custom interior thread is on here im gona keep posting things as i cow them up. And i actually LOLed at your welded steering wheel...i cant believ some people lol. Its like " Hey, I lost the nut, so lets just weld this together"

dcrusupra 06-15-2006 12:44 PM

Ugh, the carpet is a bitch. I layed the old one over the new one, outlined the holes with white chalk and started cutting. Should've fit right? NO! But it was about right. So just a little extra cutting and a lot of extra sweat got it in. And if you have a power seat, you might want to ask for help.

As I'm taking my car apart I'm finding things that the previous owner did that I'm like, This is completely retarded. But I got it for $1k and it lasted for 6 months without doing anything to it. So I cant complain. I dont know what this guy was thinking about when he welded it. But I do know he sucks at welding. If I remember where he lived I'd go back over there and ask him what else he did that was retarded.

I like the cow theme BTW. Its original. Lol, plus my grandma would like it, she likes cows for some reason. And good luck with finding seat belts that match. I will be watching and hoping you find something because a black shoulder isnt all that appealing to me.

Im gona look around some junkyards. I wish GM seat belts werent massive Torques bits...Which i dont have any of, or id try them on for size. I have black camaro belts and black monte carlo Belts, which are mch niver looking. If i buy new ones, Ill try to get some nice billet aluminum buckes out of airplanes and just put them on black straps. I just need a strap that has the pull it to fast and it locks up, instead of the electric one on the supra and lots of other cars
