Can't get this thing going.... help please

I just got an '87 non turbo. It was choking for air and i changed the AFM. Noy it seemd like it's missing. I've done plugs, cap, rotor, tried timing, now I'm thinking igniter? I'm not getting any relevant fault codes, Any ideas? TPS maybe? I'm going to do a fuel filter tonite, any help would be appreciated. Thanx,
Bert

Timing? dirty fuel injectors?

other than what you already mentioned those things come to mind.

Injectors

Injectors Are A Thought, I Cant Get It To Go In Time At All, Heat Is Definitely An Issue... Easy Way To Check Injectors?

I dont kow of any great way to "check" your injectors but you could take it to a shop that does injector cleaning on the car. They essentially tap into the fuel system and spray a concentrated cleaner into the fuel system while the car is running and it loosens and burns off all the deposits. Ive seen it done, and it seems to cure most injector issues pretty quickly. The shop I go to for specialized work like this charges $85 for that service.

air flow meter got whacked when you installed the new air filter ??
check the connection on the AFM

Air Flow Meter Seems Good, The Car Was Starving For Air Before, But I Seem To Have Corrected That. Going To Blow Out The Spark Plug Ports Tonite, Just To Be Sure They Are Dry. Piece By Miserable Piece I Guess, My Wife Just Wants To Drive Her Shiny New Supra...

Injector seals

If you end up removing the injectors change the seals. There are 3 per injector. Over time they will harden so you end up with a too lean condition when they start allowing air to enter. I burned a set of rings for letting them go too long in a lean state. I had codes 25 and 26 pop up now and then and when I had to change motors I had them install a JDM motor so they used my old injectors and it ran so bad because the seals were hard as a rock that it engine just sat there and sputtered and shook. When I set a bottle of water on my engine it looked like an ultrasound bath in the bottle.
Im getting code 25 and 26 again now and am going to change my seals later tonight when its cooled down some.

yayyyy... getting closer, had a bad spark plug, two suspect plug wires, and I think the measuring device in the AFM may be dirty, going to try some more tonite. Drove it last night and it ran like a raped ape, this thing is quick!
