jdm swap
Hello
I have an 87 turbo. Im at the tail end of a jdm 7mgte swap(motor goes in on monday), and puck style clutch upgrade. Does any one know if the injectors are the same cc as the american versions. Also do I need a jdm tuned ecu or can I use the american one I allready have. Any SERIOUS INFO someone could give me would be a great help. Thank You |

Jdm 7m-gte
Wats up? Ive got a Japanesse Designed Motor in my 87 mkiii. 440cc injectors come stock in us version a japanesse. The ecu will probaly have to be tuned because in japan they have no emissions so the car might not run right wit a american tuned ecu.

well I swaped the intake manafold from my american version and their is a diffrence in the egr. That could effect the cpu. I would like to just block it off, but for now I want to here it run. I think if I keep swaping my parts to the jdm long block it should work the same?? thanks

egr does need to be swapped for usdm (if your area requires emissions)
oil pressure sender as ours read in kgcm whereas yours are in psi possibly change the temp sensors as in 89+ they changed the plug type throttlebody needs changing as throttle cable/linkages are different you can use either the jdm ecu or the usdm whichever you feel like injectors are the same as with the rest from memory
