Put some fuel injector cleaner in. And change your dist cap and rotor. I had this too, i put some paint thinner in the gas tank (probably not good) but it cleaned the injectors right up.

ONLY use injector cleaner, because other things like paint thinner will be too harsh on the non-metal parts.
Try some TECHRON. 2 bottles in a full tank. If its fine when cold, can you drive it, and it runs OK, then it gets worse after warmed up?? That would not be injectors plugged. That sounds more primary electrical system. Not secondary (plugs and wires, cap, rotor) How do you know its #1. Does it get a steady spark? You may need to Do a compression test to see where the engine is mechanically. I have seen many cars with one or more injectors plugged. Especially if the car has sat for a long period, months. But a plugged injector is a problem that is present all the time, not just when warm.

when i start the car for the first time in the morn it runs perfect and will continue to run perfect as long as i dont turn it off. when i turn it off and re start after say 1/2 hr it misses on #1 and it has lots of spark and i changed the plugs, i even ran it with the #1 spark plug out and no fuel, seems to be lots of compression plug is sparkin away but still misses, then i let it sit for say4 or 5 hours and whala perfect again, the car has had a motor swap from what the previous owner told me, the original motor blew a head gasket and it was cheaper to replace the motor with another used one.

Cool
Wow...it sounds almost like my car. Although mine sounds like its just missfireing on ONE of the cylinders....however I didn't know you could run the engine without the spark pluggs in. How do you stop fuel to the cylinder? Or do you not need to to have the engine running when the spark plug is out?

there is a bleeder on the fuel rail..try that by some miricle of the supra gods the junk might get bleeded out.
the rail/injectors/lines are the only things that would be effected by the temp change in the engine compartment maybe the high heat is loosening the junk up so run the motor to get it hot...get a cup and bleed the lines for a few seconds look @ the fuel if it has crap in it thats a good sign of a clogged injector im not so sure but the number 1 is the 1st one fed right? that might explain why its the only one clogged |

They are all fed pretty evenly, The whole line is pressurized and the injectors it let it in as neccesary. With fuel, It can get hot and start to vaporize in the lines if the rail gets hot.big problem on a lot of straigh 6 motors. I dont think its your problem, But who knows. It does cause something similar to that, seems like a miss. It does sound like something electrical tho, If it starts to run bad and then gets hot and worse. Electronics like being cold. You might have a dry soldier joint somewhere, on the millions of solder joints. Thats where the lead isnt attached to the metal(really soldered and not fake), it just touched it enough to make contact and then heats up and expands outwards. Look for honda main relay resolder to see what i mean. Its a common problem on the main relay in the civic/integra
