rnoswal,
I am new to the site. Love Supras ever since my first car was a Supra. Been wanting another one. Came across a rarety: 87 Turbo, all original, everything works, garaged, immaculate, 61K, owned by 61 year old. Selling it and all toys and business to retire with a trailer to travel. My question: He had the car checked out at toyota before listing it. Everything checks out from compression to boost to AC. However, after sitting for awhile he gets a few seconds of blue smoke after starting the car. Mechanic said being older hoses some oil may be dripping on a valve or something, but nothing to worry about. Should I worry? Is your reply about oil leaking into turbo hoses and then getting burned the probable cause? Please advise. You all know a whole lot more than me. I'm learning. Thanks! Jeremy |
