No, they're not that fast. You beat it, so I'm glad. If you didn't, then there'd be something wrong.
Chevrolet Cobalt SS Supercharged: Standing 1/4-mile: 14.7 sec @ 97 mph http://www.caranddriver.com/article....&page_number=2 Don't think I'm ragging on you, though. I'm just saying that they're not god's gift to automobiles. God's gift to ricers, maybe... That engine is a good base, however. Take that supercharger off, and hang a turbo instead, and the stock internals will support 500whp all day. If it's not forged in that engine, it's semi-forged. Sodium filled exhaust valves, GM did their homework on that engine, surprisingly. |

hey, im new to the boards but i saw you guys talking about racing, i had a couple of questions, if you could answer them id really appreciate it
1. how do you signal to someone that you wanna race, and how do you know when the race is over? 2. i drive a 1990 turbocharged supra, and i heard that there was like some way to rev it up before a race and it will do better is this true? if so whats the secret any help will be appreciated thanks |

1. there's alot of ways to signal a race... i usually rev my car, or you point forward.. start rolling forward at a light.. or just straight out ask the guy. make sure you not gonna kill anyone tho.
2. is it a manual or automatic? with a manual, u can rev up the car and launch it harder, but you have to work on that.. see how high of an RPM you can launch at without spinning your tires. also.. work on shift points.. if your shifting at 3000rpm in a race, you wont do very good.. but try and stay below redline.. i usually shift at 5000-5500rpm. good luck. |

actually this thread is talking about racing and supraboy wanted to know a few things about racing.
plus the thread was out of date so it didnt matter. most threads topics are carried on to other things anyway |
