If you can't do it right don't do it at all. A supra deserves to have a rim with at least a little bit of a lip or if you got the money please get staggered wheels. Imagine how they will look from the back with those wheels on, no lip and some skinny ass tires that won't look so aggresive. You want that supra to look phat when you look at it from the back, like that blue supra up above. Mad props nice lookin supra.

chromes last forever if you take care of it and keep it polished and waxed. And no, your speedometer will not be wrong, Unless you git big ass tires. And generally the tire weighs more than the rim, so the 1 inch bigger will not add weight, it would be less if anything. 2nd, the design of the rim is most likely lighter than the supra wheels. To measure your wheels height, you take the tires size, 205/50 for example. the 50 means its 50% of the width in height. so the tires are 102.5 mm tall. Which is about 4 (25.4mm/inch). So the total height is 4+4+17(25"). The stock tires/wheels are 25.6" tall mathematically. The most accurate way is to just measure them, And apply the percentage as your speedo error. For the given example, it would be 3%. So at 50 actual speed, your speedo would read 51.5. Not much of a difference, which is why most people dont worry about it.

And as for the handling/ride, Usually a little tighter with an inch up. Which means little less ride quality/little bit tighter car. But if the tires get too short, you actually start to lose a little traction, as with 18s and low low tires. Your tires need to bend a little to stay planted

like i said, im 16.. i dont have THAT much money for rims in the first place, and whats wrong with 16's? i think.. when you go stick 18's on ur car, it looks more ricey.. and a supra is a jap car anyways? sure.. id rather have rims like these.. but im sure there $1500 atleast for all 4's... then i have to spend more on tires.. id love those.. but id love to have the money also.

maybe ill just save up for the ones above ^^^ or something similar. i guess if im gonna do it, do it right. ill likely use stockers for now.. and go up to 17's when i need new tires. i guess i just save for a few months.. i was thinking of getting a new MHG and doing a turbo and getting cheaper rims.. but ill just make a custom intake, cut out my cat, and get exhaust for now.. and ill do that MHG soon.

as for buying stock size rims being "retarded" I will totally dissagree with you on that one. While buying bigger wheels and then lower profile tires may be something you think is the only viable option, alot of people (myself included) actually prefer our cars to remain closer to stock appearance, ride, and specs. I run 225-50/r-16's all arround on my eagle alloys, and I got no problems with that. My tire store includes free rotation, balancing, road hazard and flat repair with their tires, and I rotate regularly, so missmatched sizes would not be an option. Not everyone thinks they have to have a $2000 set of wheels and tires on their Supra's to look nice. Quite honestly I think mine has gone over a line that I dont like, 'cause every Tom, Dick and Harry wants to race me...and I dont race! I build my car to be what I like and want...everybody else can just go play hide and go F**k yourself.
