um, 16's do NOT fit the supra. It's just too big of a car.
If i were to upgrade a daily driver, I would put 17x8 or 17x9 all around.
The wheels fit the car, make it look good, and you wouldn't stand out to riceboys if you chose the right wheels.
stock specs, perhaps, but wheels and tires? no thank you.

Those Drag wheels are a nice option.

Just because you up the wheel size doesn't automatically mean you have to run super low profile tires...
225/50r16 is just not enough traction for the substantial heft of the supra.
255/40r17 or something like that would be mint. You don't have to buy 205/30r17's like the wheel places sell... you have the freedom to choose your own tires.

fwiw: it may not be rice, but to me, it's pointless to go out and spend all kinds of money on wheels, just to buy the same size that came on the car.

I never stated my opinion of the wheels, I was just saying what and what not will happen. Now for the opinion part..I would say, if you WANT bigger wheels, save a little more for em instead of just getting 16s now. Cause despite some things, Slightly bigger rims and tires arent really that much more. And even if they do look ricey, or whatnot, who cares if you like them.

Oh and weezl, The everyone wanting to race you is just the con of owning a supra. Ive heard so many people brag about beating supras (mustang and honda owners), It just seems like a car everyone wants to race/beat and it makes them feel good...lol. And ive raced a lot of those said people and beat them. And my supra is probably slower or as fast as any they would have "raced", Being a hardtop 5 speed n/a. Ive already beat 2 mustangs, one an older GT(5.0) and a newer v6. And every honda ive ever raced, Except for an older guy in a brand new s2000...But that doesnt count lol. Civics are so overrated. lol. Even the brand new civic si with 197hp isnt really all that fast. I had one trying to pass me on a 2 lane road and he was just keeping up with me, maybe a little faster than my car in a real drag race.

Im not going to argue with you...but again its just your opinion. My 16's look just fine to me:

All Im saying is to each his own...just because someone has a different opinion about what looks good doesnt make him wrong...just different

And for the record...my car came with these wheels on it, and I had no qualms about em or buying the tires for them. I paid less than $350 bucks mounted and they do exactly what I want them to do...hold air...lol!

it does if you want to maintain the same diameter, yes you have room to go bigger, but not all of us want to deal with that on our DD

yea i think those look good, and... whats another inch? who cares.. does any understand i dont have the money for new tires!? i already want to do enough.. if everyone wants to pitch in to help me get 17's! go right ahead and your 18's dont look ricey, but honestly i dont really care for them that much.. and in my opinion i think i could find alot nicer ones for alot less IMO. im meaning.. all you hear is these rice kids are like "man, imma get some 18" rims and some low pro's thurr gonna look dope on my ride yo. then imma get a fart can and a body kit." atleast thats how it seems here... if i owned a domestic car, i wouldnt put "ricey" rims on it... but a supra is a tuner?
